Advanced Art of Veneering with Jonathan Benson gave me a new appreciation for vacuum pressing veneer. A lot easier than I would have thought, and his system was inexpensive and easy to work with! While vacuum pressing is included in the video as an advanced technique, don’t let that scare you off. Even beginners can benefit from this simple process that is only one of the techniques highlighted in the video. It’s pretty slick, and you won’t have to fight with cauls and a bunch of clamps.
