Thanks for all the great comments! Congratulations to “rustycolbert,” the winner of this book giveaway. Stay tuned for more exciting book giveaways and if you’re interested in a copy of“The Woodworker’s Kitchen,” it is currently available at ShopWoodworking.com.
For this week’s book giveaway I’ve chosen a fun book of kitchen themed woodworking projects: A.J. Hamler’s “The Woodworker’s Kitchen.”
Think about it: Where do you spend the most of your time? Well – the shop probably. But, what about the rest of your time? Where do all of your guests end up when you entertain? Probably in the kitchen. Kitchens are the centers of activity in most homes. So what better place to show off your woodworking skills?
“The Woodworker’s Kitchen” includes a ton of fun kitchen items you can make including a customized knife-block that doubles as a tablet holder so you can reference your favorite online recipes, an oven peel for pizzas and toasted sandwiches, cutting boards and utensils, as well as some nice larger builds including a grill cart and a kitchen island with a built-in wine rack.
I have a copy of the book to give away! Simply post a comment and I’ll choose one winner at random (winner will be announced on Monday 5/8). Good luck!
Here are some supplies and tools we find essential in our everyday work around the shop. We may receive a commission from sales referred by our links; however, we have carefully selected these products for their usefulness and quality.
Thanks, looks like a great book

Woodworking and cooking. My two favorite hobbies! Can’t wait to read this one!

I’ll wait for the major motion picture starring George Clooney and Chris Schwartz!
Some of these might earn me more time in the shop.

Yes, please!
I would also like this book, but I feel as though the guy with the 16-pound cat should probably get it…
As my username suggests, I don’t have a shop space (mostly because my wife and I are young-ish newlyweds still in an apartment we share with a gigantic 16 lbs. cat), so my kitchen, with its long peninsula counter, has become my defacto woodworking space. My wife doesn’t mind – for now – as long as I clean up after myself. But it’s only a matter of time before I start getting kitchen related project requests. This book sounds like just what me and my kitchen shop need!
I’m game, looks like it could be fun!
Cool contest.
That looks like a book worth checking out. Literally, if you don’t win check out the local library, mine has two copies!
Count me in for the book giveaway.. Looks like a good book.
This looks awesome. Really could use more kitchen ideas.
This one has been on my wish list for some time. Would be great to win it!
Cool island. Does it have alternatives to one side being a wine rack?
More neat ideas!
REally would love to check this book out!
Eventually, I’ll be looking for gift ideas, and this book is probably full of them.
Looks like a good book to own
New ideas are always nice.
Hooray for woodworking books.
Nice contest!
