Turn Your Storage World Upside Down
In my small garage shop, floor space goes for a premium while the air space overhead goes unused. I came up with a neat little trick to make use of that free space. All I did was bolt together a set of inexpensive metal shelves (about $15 at a home center) and hung it upside down with lag bolts. (You may have to trim the shelf posts with a hacksaw to get the desired height.) The upside-down shelves have a built-in lip to prevent items from falling off. Keep the shelves up high so you won’t bonk your head. Use your new-found floor space for stationary tools, a bench—you name it. |
