Don’t miss tonight’s webinar at 8:30 p.m. EST with Yoav Liberman, Designing One-of-a-Kind Furniture. Yoav is a talented artist and furniture designer in New York. He’s been involved in woodworking for more than 13 years, and much of his work is inspired by discarded materials and found objects. His pieces have been exhibited at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City, the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, Mass., The Center for Art in Wood in Philadelphia, Penland Gallery, N.C., and SOFA Chicago. He has also written a number of woodworking and design articles for American and Israeli design and woodworking publications, and been featured in several furniture design books.

Yoav’s work is unique, and as a woodworking instructor, he teaches others to design and build one-of-a-kind projects (he’s taught at Harvard University and Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, among others).

The videos shown here feature a few projects from Yoav’s students. There’s everything from knock-down hardware to creative joinery in just these three videos.

Tonight’s webinar is an opportunity to learn furniture design from a true artist. Yoav will show sketches from one of his recent projects and talk about how he transformed a raw-edge slab from a fallen tree into an elegant table. You’ll see dozens of original images and get inspiration for your own projects.
