He’s been involved in woodworking for more than 13 years, and much of his work is inspired by discarded materials and found objects. His pieces have been exhibited at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City, the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, Mass., The Center for Art in Wood in Philadelphia, Penland Gallery, N.C., and SOFA Chicago. He has also written a number of woodworking and design articles for American and Israeli design and woodworking publications, and been featured in several furniture design books.
Yoav’s work is unique, and as a woodworking instructor, he teaches others to design and build one-of-a-kind projects (he’s taught at Harvard University and Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, among others).
