WITH SOME FREE TIME TODAY I MADE A TOOL RACK WITH MAGNETIC  INSERTS.AS MY SMALL WORKSHOP GETS CLUTTERED I HAVE NO ROOM AND ALL MY TOOLS ARE HERE THERE EVERY WHERE…SO I MADE A FEW OFF THESE. THE ONE YOU SEE WILL HOLD MY TURNING TOOLS.AS YOU MAY NOTICE THESE TOOLS ARE OLD BUT THEY STILL DO THE JOB.I NOW AND AGAIN TAKE A DIAMOND TO IT TO GIVE IT AN EDGE.THESE ARE OVER 20 YEARS OLD AND ARE HENRY TAYLOR TURNING TOOLS.THE RACK WAS MADE FROM OFF CUTS OFF BEECH I HAD.WITH 1/2 INCH MAGNETIC PELLETS FITTED TO THEM.SO THE TOOLS WILL HOLD. JUST NEEDS FIXING TO THE WALL. EACH SECTION WAS CUT USING RADIAL SAW TO HOUSE THE UPRIGHTS I FITTED LATER.I DID IT THIS WAY AS JUST CUTTING SLOTS EQUALLY IN THE TIMBER IT WOULD BE WEAK AS ITS ALL END GRAIN UPRIGHTS!!? .THEN I DRILLED 1/2 DIA X 1/8 DEEP TO FIT THE MAGNETIC FITTINGS.,AS YOU CAN SEE I WASTE NOTHING I KEEP ALL BITS OF TIMBER THAT WILL BE USED ONE DAY INSTEAD OF BURNING IT.?
