THESE WERE MY OLD SHOES BUT YOU CAN USE ANY SIZE SHOES DEPENDING ON YOUR PLANE SIZE.THESE SHOES ARE NOT FINISHED YET,AS I HAVE TO CUT THE BACK OFF SO THE PLANES SLIDE IN EASY.ONCE THATS DONE I PUT THE LEATHER INNER SOLES IN WHICH YOU CAN PICK UP AT ANY SHOES SHOP,THEN YOU SPRAY THE INNERS WITH WD 4O OR ANOTHER SPRAY OIL?I USE DUCK OIL WHICH I FIND IS  A FINE OIL AND ITS A GOOD OIL.ONCE DONE I WILL FIX THE HEEL PART TO A BACKING BOARD ON THE WORKSHOP WALL.AS I OWN 6 PLANES VARIOUS SIZES I WILL BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR SHOES AT VARIOUS FLEA MARKETS OR CAR BOOT SALES. IF YOUR BUYING OTHER PEOPLES SHOES REMEMBER WASH THEN USE SHOES!! .SILLY IDEAS MAYBE BUT LEAST THE INNER SOLES WILL PROTECT THE THE BASE PLATES OF YOUR PLANES?? THE SMALLER SHOES SIZES ARE IDEAL FOR BLOCK PLANES. AND IF THEY ARE IN A BAD STATE OUTSIDE LIKE THE ONES YOU SEE?YOU CAN ALWAYS SPRAY THEM WHAT EVER COLOUR YOU WANT.UNIQUE SIMPLE SILLY IDEAS MAYBE BUT THEY DO WORK?!!
