I’m very disappointed in the Japanese writer’s cabinet free woodworking plan by Michael Crowe. The specs are very poorly written. There are cut pieces (middle and lower railings) that are not even mentioned in the instructions, and the pictures do nothing to help even understand why they are included, and what is their purpose. They appear to have no purpose at all. Measurements are way off. Particularly the 3 horizontal dividers, all shown as different measurements for no reason at all. When dry assembling, it’s obvious these measurements are a mistake.
The plans don’t seem to have been tried or edited. There are comments in the middle of paragraphs of what he’d like to do differently next time, and there is no way to know where this thought ends and the instructions continue. I’m so frustrated and actually, angry. I have looked everywhere here for someone to contact to look over the plan, and take responsibility for a project you’ve published, and attempt to verify the project or further explain it. For now, I’m in limbo until this happens. Thank you.

Are you referring to the Japanese Writers Box? Can you clarify what measurement issues you’re having with the horizontal dividers?
