Woodworkers are always interested in seeing other woodworker’s projects, and they love showing off their own work. Some woodworkers go to the trouble of setting up their own web sites to share their work, but for those who would rather build than work on their web site, there’s a new place on the web to show off your talent. Lumberjocks.com gives you the opportunity to post your work and view (and rate) other people’s work. Even better, it’s free! The site is available for professional woodworkers as well as hobbyists.

But what’s with the Lumberjocks name? Just a clever handle. “Don’t be fooled by the name! Our jocks include men, women and teenagers who love the smell of sawdust and can’t wait to check out the latest power tools.”

When you sign up on the site you get space to tell about your project and space to post up to three pictures of each project. There’s no limit on the number of projects you can post, and you’ll receive your own website address so you can share your showcase with friends.

Even if you’re not ready to post your own projects, the site is worth a visit to see what other woodworkers have created. Take a minute and give ’em a look. It’s a fairly new site, so you’ve got a chance to get in on the ground floor of a pretty cool opportunity, and a good place to visit.
