Nancy Hiller’s new book, “English Arts & Crafts Furniture,” is an outstanding piece of research and writing. If you aren’t familiar with the English Arts & Crafts movement (it predated the American one), this is the book that will educate you and inspire you.
To celebrate this book, we’re throwing a party for Nancy at my shop at 7 p.m. Aug. 11 in Covington, Ky. (837 Willard St., Covington, Ky. 41011). This free event will be lots of fun. I’ll supply the drinks and snacks, Nancy is bringing one of her Voysey chairs from the book. She’ll sign books and give a short talk about the book.
And, like all book-release parties, there will be a pinata filled with prizes.
If you don’t own the book already, Nancy will have copies there you can buy. Families are welcome. Bring your spouse and kids for a fun evening of talking about woodworking and books.
You can register for the free event here. It takes only a minute and is not an effort to send you spam (you know me better than that). We just need a head count so we know how many bags of Cheetos and six-packs of beer to buy.
