While in Israel last August, I had a chance to visit my friend Itsik (nickname for Isaac) Cohen’s shop on the outskirts of Tel Aviv. Itsik in a self taught woodworker and practically a jack of all trades: builder, welder. …. you name it. He like to collect scraps, or left over wood from nearby woodshops and make cleaver and beautiful toys out of them.
Utilizing cut-offs is environmentally and economically wise. I will show you few of his toys in the next blog entries.. I am sure you will like what you’ll see, plus it will give you great ideas for toy designs, which you can make as gifts in advent of the Holidays season.
Here are some supplies and tools we find essential in our everyday work around the shop. We may receive a commission from sales referred by our links; however, we have carefully selected these products for their usefulness and quality.
