I announced the winners during the keynote session at Woodworking in America last Saturday, and the digital version of the November 2015 issue of Popular Woodworking Magazine e-mailed late yesterday (check your in-box if you’re a susbcriber). So forthwith I give you the winners of the 2015 PWM Excellence Awards. Please join me in congratulating:

Looking through the many entries in our third annual PWM Excellence Awards highlighted the fact that good work comes in many shapes and sizes, and from people of all ages and backgrounds. It was a pleasure for the editors and contributing editors to review the submissions – but awfully difficult to select the winners from among so much stellar work. Take a look at all the entrants here. And stay tuned for the 2016 PWM Excellence Awards ($1,000 grand prize) – look for information in February.
Here are some supplies and tools we find essential in our everyday work around the shop. We may receive a commission from sales referred by our links; however, we have carefully selected these products for their usefulness and quality.
I can’t stop looking at the thread chest. Amazing and wonderful.
I am building a jewel and scarf cabinet for my wife. I told her not to expect the work shown on the thread chest. WOW! What craftsmanship!
The layers of details I see in the pictures that had to be thought out and begun execution at the projects inception in these is crazy. I’m willing to bet the skeleton of these also have some surprises. And those legs on the thread chest… wow.
Beautiful work all around here. Who said that craftsmanship is dead??
Very cool work, all.
Would love to see work like this, in terms of creativity and technical challenge, in PWW on a regular basis.
