Thanks for the article. There’s so many interesting design motifs to borrow in Chinese furniture. The joinery is awesome (no glue, right?) such as that leg to apron joint which overloads my brain’s RAM.
For woodworkers in the Boston area: the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston (mfa.org) has a beautiful collection of Chinese furniture displayed in an exquisitely peaceful setting. That’s in addition to the masterpieces of early American furniture and the collection of contemporary chairs and benches. Lots of good hours in there for a woodworker.
