Alexi's fourth baluster was, to my taste, the best one. He decided to carve an oval foot and then spiral it up with a bead. Once he finished working on all four feet, he continue to created two mortises on each baluster. Alexi did not have time to make the aprons for his table, but he did achieve a lot during the three weeks of the summer program. We decided to hang his legs on the wall, as they look so impressive on their own and resemble a piece of sculptured art.
