A high price tag brings high expectations and the JessEm Mite-R-Excel lives up to its price. Thoughtfully  engineered and nicely made, the gauge uses a pair of brass pins to lock in angle adjustments in 1/2° increments. I found this system easy to use, reliable and deadly accurate. The gauge can also be used without the pins; a vernier scale allows manual adjustments to 1-10°. All of the other parts were solid, smooth and precise. In use, it slid easily, was well balanced and felt solid without being too heavy.
